People First! forum Oct. 10

Community forum on Oct. 10, 2008 discussed the future of San Diego redevelopment.

With San Diego's redevelopment planning in turmoil, a public forum was held in October 2008 to give city residents a chance to speak out on how redevelopment can improve their communities.

Speakers at the forum explained how redevelopment affects city residents and the problems with the current system, and participants were invited to voice their concerns and priorities for reform.

The forum was sponsored by the Center on Policy Initiatives, the League of Women Voters, Citizens Coordinate for Century 3 (C3) and the MAAC Project. Supporting organizations include the Affordable Housing Coalition of San Diego, the San Diego Organizing Project (SDOP), and Common Cause.
